Tetons in Winter - Feb 20-25, 2021 -- Full!!

image347

Tuition $2200 - FULL!

The Tetons are magical in the Winter.  A blanket of snow makes everything stunningly different.  Join us for 5 days in Grand Teton National Park where we will not only explore the park via private vehicle, we will also utilize a dog sled tour, a sleigh ride outing to see potentially thousands of elk and we will have a short but exciting snowshoe adventure as well!

This workshop will start in the afternoon on Saturday, Feb 20, 2021 around 2pm and will end by 10am on Thursday the 25th.

Cancellations:  There will be no refunds for cancellations after September 1, 2020....except if we have someone on the waiting list who can take your place.

Covid Notice:  If this workshop is cancelled for Covid reasons, participants will receive a refund of their tuition.

On this workshop we will be in search of landscape images as well as any wildlife we can find.  We will be utilizing 3 different sources of tours on this workshop.  1) The sleigh ride through the Elk Refuge will put us up close and personal with more elk that you can imagine.  They all commune in this area in the Winter. 2) We will do a fairly short and easy excursion with a ranger for a snowshoe aventure (this is optional); and 3) we will have a half-day in a real dog-sled.  During all of these excursions, we will have our cameras and we will photograph things we otherwise would not get to see.

This is a Non-Refundable Workshop

Once the workshop fills and the vendors are paid, there are no refunds for this workshop.  We HIGHLY recommend obtaining travel insurance for this trip.  Make sure it is a 'cancel for any reason' policy.  There is an exception for travel problems due to Covid.  If we cancel due to this participants will be refunded.

Transportation

The closest airport is the Jackson Hole airport. Some people choose to fly into Salt Lake, but in the winter, we don't advise it.  Also, please do not consider flying into Bozeman.  If there is bad weather, you will not be able to go over Teton Pass to get into Jackson.

You will need to get the earliest flight you can get into Jackson Hole as we will start the introductory part of the workshop around 3pm.  Our first shoot will be for sunset that eveing and will need time to get into the park before sunset at 6pm.  Some people may choose to come in a day early, just in case of weather.  That is not a bad idea.

You will be responsible for your transportation to and from Jackson Hole and during the workshop.  Most people try to go in together on a rental since we have to carpool to many shoots anyway.  Let us know if you wish to do so and we will help facilitate that.

NOTE:  you will need to rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle for this workshop.  There could be snowy or icy road patches that we will need to navigate.

For this Workshop

It will be cold.  There's just no way around that. But with the proper gear for you and your cameras, it will be an adventure worth having.

We will send out an information packet to give you an idea of everything you will need for this workshop.  If you have been with us on our Yellowstone in Winter trip, it will be basically everything you used for that trip.
