Tennessee Waterfall Wonders - May 18-21, 2025 - 1 spot left

Cost - $800 - Includes a private multi-waterfall boat tour/photo shoot.)

If you think you've photographed some amazing waterfalls in the past, here's a challenge to think again!  This trip is one of Natural Connections' shorter offerings, but it is PACKED with waterfall energy and the opportunity for truly stunning images.  The falls featured on this trip are larger and more powerful than most photographers ever get to experience, and a private boat tour will get you to certain views and shots you can only capture by boat.

This trip is at a little different energy level than many of our other workshops.  This trip will have you hiking about 2-4 miles per day.  You will also need to be able to climb down a few steep trails that involve multiple stairs, rock steps and uneven terrain with rocks and roots along the trail.  We highly recommend bringing hiking poles to help with these sections of the trails.

But OH this is SO WORTH it!

Join us on this 2 1/2 day waterfall shoot of a lifetime.  We will meet at 7pm on May 18 at the hotel for an informational meeting. The first shoot starts early on Monday the 19th and the workshop ends around noon on the 21st.

Last date to cancel with a refund is November 20, 2025.

For This Workshop:

Level of Physicality:

  • This trip requires easy to moderate hiking but does also require climbing down into river and creek beds.  We will climb down on an actual trail, but some sections of the trails are steep.  We will also be walking around in rocky areas that may or may not be wet. The first day involves about 4 miles of hiking, but the remaining  2 days are far easier - about 1-2 miles.

Gear:  On this one you need 4 things:

  • 1) Hiking poles
  • 2) Polarizers for your lenses
  • 3) Neutral density - lens filters of at least 3 stops of density....possibly more as we will shoot some of the falls in the middle of the day.  Some mirrorless cameras have a built-in ND feature into the camera. Olympus has this feature built in. So either this built-in feature or lens filters are NECESSARY for this workshop.
  • 4) A super-wide angle lens (Oly 7-14, 8-25 or DSLR lenses 10-20, 14-24, 16-35) If you don't have one, you may need to rent one for the trip.... unless you are looking for an excuse to purchase one....if so, you are welcome! (Note: some super-wide lenses do not allow attaching filters....so if you rent one, it would best to make sure to rent one that allows filters.  I use one that does not allow filters, but my camera has built-in ND filters.)
