This will be a 4-day, 3-night excursion to bear-country in Alaska. Everything will originate out of Anchorage. You will photograph coastal brown bears foraging in the meadows, clamming on the tidal flats at low tide and possibly mother bears nursing their new babies. June is a PERFECT time to photograph these bears in their coastal habitat. The vibrant green meadow grass is new and short and doesn't interfere with spotting or photographing the bears.....AND this gives us a much better chance of seeing and photographing the cubs as well. Plus, there are often some great opportunities for bald eagles as well.
The trip tuition will cover:
You will be responsible for getting yourself to Anchorage and back home. You will likely fly in on the 21st and stay in Anchorage and then catch the included flight to Homestead the next day. You will likely stay the night in Anchorage again after the workshop ends and you are flown back to Anchorage on the 25th. (Unless you can/wish to get a flight out later that day.) Alternatively, you could go on another adventure or two while you are in Alaska.
This is a last minute opportunity due to an opening at the Lodge. The owner has given me a small window to see if I can find enough people who want to go. So please let me know ASAP.
